Cloud architecture and DevOps for software that has to run.

How a system is deployed, scaled, secured and observed is decided in its architecture. We design the cloud environment together with the software — infrastructure as code, automated deployments, monitoring and recovery built in — and then operate it.

Architecture design

  • Components, data flows and security boundaries
  • Availability zones, scaling and failure modes
  • A cost model before anything is provisioned
  • Documented with the reasons for each decision

Infrastructure as code

  • Terraform, CloudFormation or Bicep
  • Reviewed like application code
  • Environments created from code — identical every time

Continuous integration and delivery

  • Build, test, security scan and deploy in one pipeline
  • Deployments in minutes, with rollback
  • Separate development, staging and production

Containers and platform services

  • Docker; Kubernetes or managed container services
  • Managed databases, queues, storage, content delivery
  • Serverless functions where they simplify

Observability

  • Logs, metrics and traces in one place
  • Dashboards and alerts that reach a person
  • Service-level objectives for the paths that matter

Security by design

  • Identity, network segmentation, secrets and encryption
  • Least privilege for people and services
  • Audit logs and backups as part of the design

Right-sized

Start with the simplest architecture that meets the requirements; scale when measurements say so, not before.

Reproducible

Every environment can be rebuilt from code and documentation. Nothing lives only in someone’s head or in a console.

Observable

When something is slow or broken, the dashboards say where. Alerts go to a person who can act.

Recoverable

Backups, restore paths and recovery times are designed in, not added after the first incident.

EU data residency

Regions, providers and services are chosen so that data stays in the EU unless you decide otherwise.

Cost-visible

Budgets, tags and a monthly report per environment. Nobody is surprised by an invoice.

  1. Review or design weeks 1–3

For an existing system: architecture and cost review with a ranked list of changes. For a new one: target architecture with the software specification.

  2. Landing zone and pipelines weeks 2–6

Accounts, networking, identity, monitoring, backups and pipelines — as code, tested before use.

  3. Migration or first deployment per system

Applications moved or deployed, with rehearsal, cut-over and hypercare.

  4. Operation and review monthly

Patching, monitoring, cost report; an architecture review every quarter.

  • Architecture document with decisions and reasons.
  • Infrastructure-as-code repository in your name.
  • Pipelines for build, test and deployment.
  • Monitoring dashboards and alert routing.
  • Runbooks for operation and recovery.
  • Cost report every month.
  • Quarterly review of architecture, cost and risks.
We have developers; we need only the platform.

That is a common arrangement: we build and operate the platform and pipelines, your developers ship on it.

Kubernetes or not?

Only where it is warranted — several services, several teams, real scaling needs. Many business applications run better and cheaper on managed container services or well-configured virtual machines. The design says which and why.

Do you support Azure for Microsoft-centric companies?

Yes. Azure is often the natural fit where Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Windows workloads are already in place.

Can you review what we have?

Yes. A review takes one to three weeks and produces a ranked list of changes with effort and effect — you decide what to do with it.

Tell us what the software has to do and how many people depend on it.

We reply within one business day with an architecture sketch and a view of the cost — free and without obligation.
